This policy outlines the data guidelines for the VAS Genie service centre management application.

1. Introduction

Welcome to the Privacy Policy for the VAS Genie mobile application ("VAS Genie" or "App"). VAS Genie is a private service centre management mobile application designed exclusively for authorized automotive dealership employees, specifically Service Advisors and Supervisors.

Operational Scope: This App is not intended for the public. Public registration is disabled. User accounts are created and managed only by the dealership administrator. Customers do not use this App.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only minimal operational data to run the app. We respect your privacy and enforce the following:

  • No User Names: We do NOT collect or store the names of the employees using the app.
  • No Personal Contact Info: We do NOT collect employee personal phone numbers, personal emails, or addresses.
  • Account Profiles: The app uses only role classifications (Service Advisor or Supervisor) and basic login credentials (email and password) created by your organization administrator.
  • Workflow Inputs: Status selections, job cards, service tracking steps, and activity updates entered by advisors/supervisors.
  • Device Tokens: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) push tokens used to send push alerts about vehicle service updates.

3. How We Use Information

Information is used strictly to support service centre operations:

  • Creating and updating vehicle job cards.
  • Tracking service process steps.
  • Sending real-time push alerts to Advisors and Supervisors when a task is updated.
  • Showing basic incentive summaries and work progress tracking.

4. Data Security

We use secure SSL/TLS encryption for all data sent between the App and the server, ensuring your login and operational inputs remain safe.

5. Data Sharing

We do not share any data with third parties for commercial use. Operational workflow data is only visible to your dealership management and system administrators.

6. Account Management

Your account is created and managed entirely by your organization administrator. Self-registration is not supported. For any updates or password resets, contact your administrator.

7. Data Retention

Operational data (such as job card steps) is retained as long as required by your dealership for record-keeping. FCM tokens are deleted or invalidated when you sign out of the App.

8. User Data Deletion Request

Under Google Play Store guidelines, we provide a pathway to delete your data. Since we do not collect your personal name, deletion applies to your login account:

  • Administrator Request: Contact your dealership administrator to deactivate or delete your login credentials.
  • Support Request: Email us at navaneethkrishnan195@gmail.com to request account removal.

9. Children's Privacy

This App is for professional dealership employees only and does not collect any data from children.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Any updates will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
